Years, possibly decades ago I read this story. An injured Snape is found by a monastery and recovers there before returning to Hogwarts. I remember enjoying it although aside from the premise I don't remember many details. It was on someone's personal site I think. Not in an archive.

first of all I made a whole livejournal account for the first time in my life so i can try to find this fic, that's how desperately I want to find it.

It was on Ao3, definitely Draco-centric but maybe not tagged as such. Possibly included drarry, the ending is a little fuzzy because I was crying (yeah, crying)
